About

The Crit looks at new products, one screen at a time. Our critter uses each one the way a first-time visitor would: it lands, it taps, it waits, it gets confused. We show where the product works, where it breaks, and what we would do about it.

How a teardown is made

  1. Ayush tries the product and talks through what happens, screen by screen.
  2. We turn that walkthrough into slides. Real screenshots of public pages are tagged "screenshot", with the site and the date. Screens behind a login are drawn by us and tagged "redrawn".
  3. Ayush's words stay exactly as said. Anything under "What Ayush said" is quoted exactly, slips and all.
  4. Each screen gets the idea behind it, from our psychology list: why it feels easy, or doesn't.
  5. A grade at the end. It's an opinion about one visit on one day, not a verdict on the company.

The writing and drawings are made with the help of AI agents, working from Ayush's walkthrough.

What we don't do

We don't take money from the products we look at, and we aren't connected to any of them.
